ON-SITE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION  - TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS

Training is becoming an ever increasing aspect of UK industry. We realise how important it is that our customers can meet the required standards whilst minimizing impact on regular schedules.
We have therefore structured ourselves to facilitate on-site training, in order to best suit your needs and convenience. Furthermore, this gives trainees the benefits of familiar surroundings and applications, and can also uncover requirements that might previously have been overlooked.

We recognise that the frequency of working at height varies greatly from one industry to another, and the level of expertise and experience will also be vastly different. As no customer is the same, neither are our courses. Each is tailored to the individuals need and application. Our one constant is the high level of training and years of expertise on offer.

We endeavour to provide the simplest and fail safe solutions for climbing and rescue, and specialise in the training of such techniques. The simple and secure approach enables us to train the most inexperienced employee, the skills and confidence necessary to safely carry out their duties, within a short period of time.

Our training team has had first hand training from the inventors and pioneers of the health and safety industry. From the Rollgliss’ first early applications of cable car escape back in the 1970’s, to today's vast array of equipment now on the market to suit every situation. Our training encompasses all the latest regulations, requirements and standards.

ON-SITE INSTALLATION, SERVICING AND  MAINTENANCE

As with all Olympia Triumphs services we offer the option of complete on-site services.
From initial installation of fall arrest solutions to ongoing service and maintenance.
Naturally, we are able to service equipment at our factory, and offer a same-day turn around service on most items. We do realise though, that this does not suit everybody, and are happy to deliver a team of experienced technicians on-site, to carry out any and all work that may be required.

SUSPENSION TRAUMA AND RAPID RESCUE

Harnesses are worn to protect us from a potentially hazardous fall. What they do not
protect us from, is suspension trauma. This occurs when the body is suspended in an
upright position, with the legs being unsupported, immobile and hanging freely. The
onset of suspension trauma happens quickly, many organisations aren’t aware of the need to rapidly counteract Suspension Trauma, and the importance in having the means and ability to rescue a casualty, quickly and safely.Falling on a line and hanging suspended is trauma enough in itself.

There are many factors that can compound the problems associated with a fall and thus heightening the need for a rapid response. This could include the injuries sustained previous to and during a fall, whether that be a heart condition, stroke, head and body injuries, lacerations etc.Through this need for quick and reliable systems of rescue, we at Olympia Triumph believe the solution lies in using the best available equipment, backed up with regular training and having an up to date rescue plan. Some of the equipment essential to a successful rescue can be found in the following items:

  • Suspension Trauma Pouches
  • Rollgliss
  • Ikar HAS
  • A11 / AG10 / RG10 MILAN

For further information, see the following publications:

  • HSE circular no. OC 282/31 “rope evacuation from mechanical handling”
  • HSE File no. 451/2002 “Harness Suspension”

IRREGULAR MAINTENANCE RESCUE STANDBY SERVICE

We appreciate a company's requirement for a full rescue procedure may well be redundant given the frequency of maintenance at height. Therefore we offer an irregular maintenance rescue standby service for such instances. Where rescue trained members of our team shadow scheduled maintenance. Please inquire for further details.
